So today I finally got around to fixing her up! I cleaned the tray, used frog tape to tape off the inset of the tray, then taped newspapers to the outside to protect the edges.
Then just a couple coats of chalkboard spray paint and voila! A perfectly cute little chalkboard tray that looks adorable in our kitchen!
Now since I just painted the tray this afternoon, I still need to give it 24 hours to dry before using chalk on it. However, I can see something like a menu or cute saying in its future...

ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I did something similar for my daughers room, on a smaller platter with just black paint, so I love that you used chalkboard paint so much more!! This turned out great.
