Here are my Pinterest finds for this week...

It all started with these globes at HomeGoods...such a great place to not only buy fantastic homewares at great prices, but to find instpiration. And this area totally and completely spoke to me. So I did my "Pinterest" research and found some beautiful, fun and fabulous ways to "go global" in your home.

Globes naturally pair well with books and libraries. Here, an old fireplace serves as a bookcase paired with chunky reclaimed wooden molding, a delicate chair, and a vintage globe on a stand. Stunning.
Or a globe could be made into a gorgeous wedding or anniversary gift like this one here that I found for sale on Etsy.

Find a globe in need of repair? Try a stylish upscale like the gals over at My Sister's Suitcase! It turned out so great!

Or for a fun mantel-piece, top various vases with small globes for an enticing display by Bliss Bloom Blog.

Isn't this retro globe lamp I saw on Etsy just fun?

Or you could create your own map-inspired lamp like Cyndi over at Blue Star Antiques.

I'm absolutely in love with these map pillows and am contemplating just how we can incorporate them into our house!

I also love these map subway prints that you can also find on Etsy.

An Instagram friend of mine, Hayley, had her kids use watercolors to paint over inexpensive maps to make a unique work of art. So inspiring! Go check it out at See Hay Fly.

She also modge-podged letters with maps and book pages that turned out beautifully.

Look at this DIY mixed media USA artwork by Fork Fabrikationz!

Or this geography dry erase board by Chick n' Coop.

THANK YOU for Linking up last week!

  5. I am a sucker for all things map/travel related. You curated an impressive collection of finds. I feel inspired. I am in the process of trying to put together a United States Quilt...http://whilewearingheels.blogspot.com/2012/02/united-scraps-of-america.html BUT I might have to put that on hold and pull out some maps and get creative.
