Well, when I first happened upon these items and came up with a plan for my dining room tablescape, I thought the title would be "Spring". However, it's over 100 degrees in my great home state of Arizona, and therefore this post is now deemed the "A Summer Tablescape". And a thrifty one at that.
A month or so ago, I picked up this lovely tiered stand at Ross. Granted, it's no Goodwill as most of my "Thrifty Thursday" items are from (but stay tuned, there's more), but at just $10 I thought it was a steal! However, once I got it home, the black was just not doing it for me. Honestly, it got lost on the dark wood of my dining room table. Nothing that a white can of spray paint couldn't fix...
Now on to the Goodwill find! About the same time I came across the stand, I also found this lovely (and huge) bag of faux lemons and pears for just $3.99! How could I pass that up?
So I added the stand on top of a runner of burlap...
Then added the faux fruit, and...voila!
Bright, sunny, summer perfection.
What do you think?
What great, thrifty finds have you come across lately?

Ok, I totally didn't realize that the fruit wasn't real! haha. I love it. So so pretty! And for $10? Score! I'm afraid of our Ross because it's a mess and scary. Maybe I should brave it though. LOVE the burlap runner too. I've had some burlap in my house for ages now to make a runner. Maybe I should just do it this week!
