Yesterday I had a few friends to my home to participate in a fun new event that my friend hosts, called Switch & Ditch. The idea is for each participant to collect ten items, clothing, shoes or accessories, that they no longer want, bring to the party and in return choose up to 10 items from among items that the other participants have brought to take home. Thus, switch and ditch. At the end of the party, if there are items remaining, a generous donation is made to a local charity. In this case we chose to donate to Fresh Start, an organization that assists women with the tools and means to gainful employment.

What an awesome idea! Fresh Start is a fabulous organization, I have worked with them in the past when I admin'd a National Non-Profit moms group in Phoenix a few years ago.
